1. I am grateful Nick is home. It was a long week with him gone.

2. I am grateful I am going to bed early. I am so tired.

3. I am grateful I can pray about everything.

1. I am grateful I got to vote today. After seeing Suffragette, I feel it is my duty to use my privilege to vote after the long hard struggle for it to be granted to women, that if I don't vote I would be wasting a gift.

2. I am grateful we were invited to go play at the splash pad today. It was super hot, but fun, and while I could always go myself, it is really nice to be invited.

3. I am grateful I got a payment from a client today.

1. I am grateful I finished listening to my audiobook today. I think The Siren was a lot better than The Selection series.

2. I am grateful Roselyn took 3 naps. Granted, I had to rock her and neglect Claire to get those naps in, but I am hoping it helps.

3. I am grateful that my heart softens for Claire when I lay by her and sing Primary songs. I get so frustrated with her sometimes during the day, and it is good to remember the love I have for her.

1. I am grateful that I was given a calling today. It will be good to teach Relief Society.

2. I am grateful that bedtime alone wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

3. I am grateful we got to face time my parents, my sister, and my grandparents.

1. I am grateful we watched Oklahoma! tonight. I love musicals, and that one is so corny and it makes me laugh.

2. I am grateful we got seeds to plant a garden out back today. Now to actually plant it....

3. I am grateful that Nick made dinner while I held Roselyn. I would have helped but she wanted to be held.

1. I am grateful that Claire was singing Scripture Power while we were in the car today. It was so sweet and it made me smile.

2. I am grateful Roselyn likes applesauce and oatmeal. I tried feeding her just baby oatmeal, and she ate it but she got really mad at me. She likes them together. I am grateful because 2 days ago I wasn't sure she liked it. It is good to see her grow and develop.

3. I am grateful we could have a picnic lunch at Nick's office building. Just our little family on the balcony. It was fun to watch Claire run around being cute. And good to see Nick in the middle of the day.

1. I am grateful and excited there were Olympic trials on tv tonight. I love the Olympics and will spend a lot of the  summer watching the trials and the games themselves.

2. I am grateful that someone submitted a contact me form from my law firm website. It is the first time it has happened.

3. I am grateful Nick and I were able to reengage with each other tonight after feeling put off for a bit.

1. I am grateful I started a blog about my experience as a stay at home lawyer. I hope it is inspiring to others.

2. I am grateful that Claire hasn't had an accident since Sunday.

3. I am grateful we made it to the library today, even though both Claire and Roselyn were so tired the whole time we were there. I will get better at getting them out the door earlier, and being prepared for when they are tired, and planning better. I'm still glad we went.

1. I am grateful that the Dodgers were on ESPN tonight so I could watch Clayton Kershaw pitch. I was so excited when I checked the TV Guide and saw that. Granted I am going to bed before the game is over because I am exhausted, but it was fun to watch what I did.

2. I am grateful for air conditioning. It was 113 degrees Farenheit today, and I don't know what I would have done without it.

3. I am grateful the doctor said Roselyn looks and acts very healthy. It is always good to hear we have a happy normal baby.

1. I am grateful we met more people at the ward picnic. It was a nice drive up to the mountains, where it was cooler, and it was good to find a new friend for Claire and several for us.

2. I am grateful Nick made me popcorn tonight. I love popcorn.

3. I am grateful our new insurance cards came in the mail today. It is good to have insurance.

1. I am grateful I got out of the house today to run errands! I haven't been able to convince Claire to go anywhere the past couple of days, and there was no where we NEEDED to go, so we didn't go out, and I was a little bit stir crazy. But today we dropped a book off at Nick's work, checked my work mail (my checks came in!), and went to the grocery store.

2. I am grateful we had a pretty good trip at the grocery store. I couldn't find the chicken that the weekly ad said was on sale (nor could I find anyone to ask), and I still forgot a couple of things, but overall still pretty good. Claire was decently good about staying near me. I combined sales and digital coupons to save almost $20. Roselyn was screaming because I took too long and she was hungry, and they opened another cashier lane just for me to help me get out quickly. I am grateful Claire stayed nearby and the store employees were so nice as to help me out.

3. I am grateful Nick made smoothies for us tonight. We enjoy smoothies in the summer. 

1. I am grateful I finished reading my new Star Wars book, Bloodline. And that we watched The Force Awakens tonight.

2. I am grateful Claire helped pick up before watching something today, and again tonight before bed.

3. I am grateful for Roselyn's giggles. Not much is better than a baby laughing. She loves "This Little Piggy."

1. I am grateful I got to eat fish tacos for dinner. I love fish tacos. They weren't as good as Rubio's, but that's ok. I wish there was a Rubio's or Baja Fresh here.

2. I am grateful I managed to get the dishwasher unloaded today. I also made the beds. Now I can say I wasn't completely unproductive.

3. I am grateful Roselyn fell asleep without being rocked at bedtime. I hope that one day she will fall asleep that way at naps.

1. I am grateful I had a better attitude today than yesterday.

2. I am grateful Claire took a nap this afternoon/evening, and still went to bed easily before 9.

3. I am grateful I was able to go to the store for Father's Day gifts/cards by myself, without having to buckle a baby and toddler in and out of the car.

1. I am grateful we could talk to the Crapos on Google Hangouts. I am grateful we are such good friends with them.

2. I am grateful I could take Nick lunch today. I feel like I failed at a lot of household duties today,  but at least I did that.

3. I am grateful the power came back on today. There was an outage this afternoon, but it came back on within an hour. I do not think I would be very happy living without power, especially without AC. So I am grateful we have it.

1. I am grateful Nick went out and got me a brownie shake from Arctic Circle because I was craving something brownie.

2. I am grateful I managed to write a blog post for my law firm website today.

3. I am grateful that Roselyn loves her bath and bedtime routine. Tonight she was fussy and I couldn't calm her down, so I thought she might be ready for a bath and bed. We went into the bathroom, she looked at me in the mirror and grinned, and then looked over at the bathtub. It is astounding how quickly she learned that and could communicate it.

1. I am grateful I went to Relief Society tonight. I started making friends with several people and got a lead on a possible legal volunteer opportunity.

2. I am grateful Claire was fine when she fell asleep in the car and stayed asleep when we got home and I left her in the car in the garage. She was sweaty, but otherwise fine.

3. I am grateful ibuprofen and a hot bath both helped with the pain of engorgement that came because I stopped pumping.

1. I am grateful that Jessie called tonight. It was good to talk to a friend. (And I'm glad she said I sound positive about everything.)

2. I am grateful for the blessing that Nick gave me tonight that talked about how I don't need to give my children all the attention they demand because they need to learn that the world does not revolve around them, and talked about how I've been doing good work on my family history.

3. I am grateful for the preschool I toured for Claire this morning. I agree with the philosophy of this director the most out of the ones we have visited with, so this is probably who we will go with. Now to just find a babysitter for Roselyn...

1. I am grateful Roselyn took a good nap this afternoon, even though it was in the swing. I would like to get her to nap well in her crib, but regardless, it was nice to only have one child to focus on this afternoon.

2. I am grateful that I found the people I did for family history today. I am really enjoying doing family history, and get sucked in whenever I start it.

3. I am grateful Claire let me guide her through a long gratitude prayer for family night tonight. Lately her prayers have been exactly the same and super fast, so it was good that she followed my promptings to thank Heavenly Father for other things. I don't know if the lesson stuck since her meal and bedtime prayers were back to her normal quick ones afterwards, but it was a start.

1. I am grateful for the morning we had today. Claire just played with us and it was a calm and loving atmosphere in our home.

2. I am grateful Roselyn slept for an hour and a half of church today. Now if we could only get her to nap that long alone in her crib...

3. I am grateful Nick did dishes AND folded laundry while I pumped tonght. I was expecting to fold laundry but he got it done quick.

1. I am grateful I got both bathrooms cleaned. They had not been cleaned well prior to us moving in, and they look so much better now.

2. I am grateful we had a mini stay at home date making oreo truffles. We had moments of annoyance  earlier today so it was good to reconnect and do something fun together.

3. I am grateful Nick went grocery shopping and took Claire with him. It was nice to have a quiet house for a bit, and Nick picks out better produce than I do.

1. I am grateful that Claire was so quiet in her room getting ready for bed. I put Roselyn to bed really early and let Claire stay up a little bit late, and I told Claire we  had to be so quiet because Roselyn was sleeping, and Claire listened so well.

2. I am grateful we are privileged enough to have checked out 2 places we are thinking of sending Claire for preschool and (bonus!) I am grateful I have a sister who has a degree in child development and works at a care center so I can ask questions about what is good to look for.

3. I am grateful I pumped as much as I did today - 13 ounces. I was afraid my supply was getting low pumping again, after a few days of only pumping 10 ounces, but I'm glad I have what I do for Roselyn.

1. I am grateful that Roselyn slept until after 4 a.m. this morning. I didn't, but I am glad she did - closer and closer to sleeping through the night!

2. I am grateful I went to the temple today. I didn't have any extraordinary experience, but I haven't been in a while, and I know that Heavenly Father is aware of my needs.

3. I am grateful that Nick made dinner and cleaned up after all of Claire's accidents while I crashed on the couch this afternoon. He is a keeper.

1. I am grateful the girls went to bed early tonight. They were tired.

2. I am grateful that I set up appointments: to tour a possible preschool for Claire; and a doctor's appointment for Roselyn.

3. I am grateful the Relief Society presidency dropped by to introduce themselves and get to know me briefly. It feels good to be welcomed.
